Panasonic Lumix S5II/S5IIX/G9II Cinerig Base

I’ve been using the Rigid Pro Cineback on my Lumix S5IIX for a while now and I’m very satisfied with it. The rig feels solid, is well thought out, and gives the camera a more professional look and better handling especially during longer shoots. Everything is mounted securely, and the system is easy to expand.

One thing I do find a bit unfortunate is the lack of a cutout for an XLR module, something that is available on the version for the Canon R5/R5C/R6. Personally, I’m not a big fan of external audio solutions that hang off the camera they tend to make the setup a bit clumsy.

To work around this, I drilled a 30mm hole into the top plate, which allows the Lanparte Audio Adapter to fit perfectly through. I then 3D-printed a custom mounting bracket to secure the other end. This setup lets me record four audio tracks, including two via XLR, with everything staying perfectly in sync, no hassle.

In short: very happy with the product. A bit more attention to audio integration would have made it just about perfect.

I just upgraded to the Lumix S5 iix and decided to rig out my OG S5 with my ninja v. Rigid pro was a perfect solution. Now I don’t have to worry about power, I don’t have to carry tons of batteries around me or be plugged into the wall when I’m shooting.

On top of it being extremely functional and practical it also makes your rig look way more professional for the clients. I’ve shot with red cameras and DSLR and there’s definitely a level of respect you get when you have a more professional camera on a shoot . True most client’s are not going to be able to tell the difference in quality but they love to flex with photo of big cameras. This also adds a level of trust and can make your shoot a little less stressful.

I always liked what the S5iix offered as a robust, hybrid camera (especially with recording captured in BRAW). But rigged up in Rigid Pro kit — I love it so much I just bought another.

Solid construction, love all the mounting points, makes the rig look absolutely amazing, the dtaps are just what i needed! Everything works perfect would definitely recommend!!!!

I had avoided the whole V-Mount battery thing because if the clutter and bulk. The rig gives me reasons to embrace this pathway and has already (2 jobs) impressed clients, one a videographer, the other not.
