Unlike others, with the Rigid.PRO XLR Camera Base, once you've got your cage, there's no need to buy a more expensive base, and then have to spend the same again on more parts to work with the top handle. The original Rigid.PRO XLR Top Handle Edition is subtantially more affordable, and ready to go straight out of the box. No more to pay!

If you've been looking for the ultimate cinema rig for the Sony FX30/FX3 camera then look no further. The RIGID.PRO base converts your camera into a cinematic powerhouse!

Utilising the 8Sinn FX30/FX3 cage (not included) which can also be purchased on Amazon, simply attach the RIGID.PRO base using the supplied four screws. The XLR Top Handle Edition will not fit any other cage.

The RIGID.PRO FX30/FX3 XLR Top Handle Edition provides a strong D-Handle that braces and secures to the factory top handle, ensuring no more broken audio handles!

Use the V-Mount battery of your choice, and you'll get four D-Tap power outputs (10A max total). Plus, when combined with a dummy battery, you'll have a singular power button to power your camera and anything connected via D-Tap - including external monitors or microphones. Hit the power switch, and there's zero current draw ensuring your battery will last for hours, if not days.

You might also consider adding the D-tap to USB-C Right Angle Power Cable and the Top Plate for the XLR Audio body.

The RIGID.PRO base also offers complete access to ALL of the camera's buttons, including the MODE button. We suggest you leave the camera's power slider 'on', and use the RIGID.PRO power switch. A convenient built-in LCD display shows the system voltage available from the connected V-Mount battery ensuring you've got one eye on the power situation at all times. 

The FX30/FX3 screen tucks neatly away into a felt-lined recess built into the side of the RIGID.PRO base, while the cheese plates on top and bottom provide multiple mounting options for your base plate and all your accessories.

A clever compartment inside the RIGID.PRO base allows for storing excess cable and ensures trouble-free cable management. 

The RIGID.PRO FX30/FX3 Base has been specifically designed for this highly capable camera body and the XLR Audio Top Handle. It's manufactured from a blend of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) and Carbon Fibre - which has excellent high temperature resistance and is UV stable. Combined with the aluminium cheese plate and high-tensile screws, the base promises years of trouble free service.

Sweet rig, works with Tilta V2 Cage

affordable, capable and high quality rig. Fast shipping to CA as well. Can confirm it is compatible with a Tilta V2 cage with the use of washers/shims and a 1" 1/4-20 screw.

Best Top Handle Rig Around

I was an early adopter of RigidPRO. I bought the standard version after missing out on Cineback. Then they bought this out when there was no option for the XLR Top Handle. What can I say other than its flawless. It does what it's advertised to do. The quality is top notch, and the shipping was 4 days with FedEx. Obviously Cineback now has a top handle version but it's twice the price of this one, and that one looks a bit frankenstein. If you're sitting on the fence on this, don't hesitate. It's worth more than they are asking.

Great Add-on for the FX3

Amazing build quality, great features, kept my XLR handle and makes it feel WAY better! I will be using this on more shoots soon. Was great to find a product that would move my FX3 up to a more flexible platform like the FX6 for larger set needs. Have a video attached with a good break down of the product.

Wonderful product!!

So, I actually stumbled on Rigid.pro after looking for an alternative to another product that was sold out and I have no regrets whatsoever. I originally bought the non XLR version m, and then this one came out and I bought this one as well. It just checks all the boxes, especially for long form video and docu-stuff. There are other options, sure, but Rigid pro integrated everything you need - form factor, power, cord management and functionality.
10/10 purchase. The only thing I would like is for the top plate for the XLR version to have 1/4-20's on the side like the original rigid pro baseplate does.
Otherwise flawless and - I daresay, essential part of your fx3/30 rig.
